Tumbled stones:
Our collection of tumbled stones comprises a wide variety of minerals. Each offers a unique palette of colours, patterns and textures that reflect the Earth’s mineral diversity.
Tumbled stones are pieces of raw minerals that have been carefully shaped by human hands.
This involves a mechanical process in which the raw stones are polished.
The minerals are usually placed in a rotating drum containing water and an abrasive. This process takes around ten days.
As the stones rub against one another, they become polished into pebble-like shapes.
Whether for meditation, interior decoration or to expand your mineral collection, you’re sure to find something to your liking in our online shop.
Fluorite:
Fluorite is composed of calcium fluoride, which gives it its name. It is also known as fluorine.
Fluorite is famous for its varied colours, which can include purple, green, blue, yellow, pink and brown.
Fluorite crystals are often transparent to translucent.
As well as being used in jewellery, fluorite is mined for use in various industries, including metallurgy.
It is also used in the manufacture of optical glass due to its transparency.
It is a soft stone and must be handled with care to avoid scratching it!
The main fluorite deposits are found in South Africa, China, Mexico, Spain, Germany and the United States.
