Tumbled stones:
Our collection of tumbled stones comprises a wide variety of minerals. Each offers a unique range of colours, patterns and textures that reflect the Earth’s mineral diversity.
Tumbled stones are pieces of raw minerals that have been carefully shaped by human hands.
This is a mechanical process in which the raw stones are polished.
The minerals are usually placed in a rotating drum containing water and an abrasive. This process takes around ten days.
As the stones rub against one another, they are polished into pebble-like shapes.
Whether for meditation, interior decoration or to expand your mineral collection, you’re sure to find something to your liking in our online shop.
Trolleite:
The name trollite derives from the Swedish chemist Hans Gabriel Trolle-Wachtmeister, in honour of his contributions to mineralogy.
Trolleite was named after its discovery in Sweden in the 19th century. It is sometimes confused with other blue minerals such as lazulite or scorzalite, with which it often shares deposits and visual similarities.
Trolleite is an aluminium phosphate that sometimes contains iron; its colour ranges from pale blue to deep blue, sometimes with greyish or greenish tints.
It forms mainly in phosphate-rich metamorphic rocks, often associated with lazulite and scorzalite.
The main deposits of trollite are found in Brazil, Portugal, the United States, Sweden, Norway and Australia.
