Rhyolite jasper:
Rhyolite jasper is mainly composed of microcrystalline quartz, like other varieties of jasper.
However, it contains inclusions of rhyolite, a volcanic rock that is fairly light in colour, ranging from pinkish to grey and sometimes blue.
Rhyolite jasper displays a range of colours that may include shades of green, red, brown, yellow, grey and blue.
Its patterns often resemble miniature landscapes, featuring spots, bands and geometric formations.
The main deposits of rhyolite jasper are found in the United States, Australia, Mexico, India and Germany.
