Landscape jasper:
Landscape jasper is a variety of jasper composed of microcrystalline silica. It is characterised by its patterns and bands, which are reminiscent of natural landscapes.
These patterns are created by the infiltration of various minerals and oxides into the layers of silica during its formation.
Landscape jasper forms from siliceous deposits within rock fissures.
These deposits may contain iron or manganese oxides, and sometimes chlorite or limonite, which give rise to the characteristic patterns of landscape jasper.
The main deposits of landscape jasper are found in the United States, Australia, India, South Africa, Russia and Brazil.
