Aquamarine Bracelet FAQ

Why wear an aquamarine bracelet?

Wearing an aquamarine bracelet allows you to keep close a stone traditionally associated with inner clarity, emotional calm and greater ease in expressing yourself. In crystal healing, it is often recommended for those who wish to communicate more effectively or are seeking support to navigate periods of change with serenity.

Which bead size should I choose for an aquamarine bracelet: 6 mm or 8 mm?

The 6 mm beads are fine and discreet, making them perfect for everyday wear or for stacking with other bracelets. The 8 mm beads are the classic unisex size. They also showcase the aquamarine’s blue shades and natural reflections more prominently.

How should I care for my aquamarine jewellery?

Aquamarine is a relatively durable stone, with a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale. However, it has cleavage, meaning that an impact at a particular angle may split it. Remove your bracelet before any sporting activity. Avoid prolonged contact with water, particularly in swimming pools or the sea, as well as corrosive products such as detergents. Several gentle methods can be used to energetically cleanse the stone, including clear water, moonlight or an amethyst geode.

Is the aquamarine used in Sudamerica Stones bracelets natural?

Yes, all stones used by Sudamerica Stones are 100% natural. As is common with aquamarine, some stones may have undergone gentle heat treatment at approximately 400°C to stabilise or intensify their characteristic blue colour. This is a recognised and accepted practice in the jewellery industry and does not affect the stone’s classification as natural. Each bracelet is hand-strung in Geneva using beads that have been individually selected.

Can you adjust my aquamarine bracelet?

Absolutely! If your size is not available in stock, you can contact us and provide us with your measurements. If you find that the bracelet is too small or too large after receiving your order, you can return it to us and our team will adjust it to the correct size.

Description

8mm Aquamarine Pearl Bracelet

The 8 mm pearls reveal aquamarine in all its beauty. The stone’s translucency is fully revealed thanks to the size of these beads, where subtle shades of blue — from pale blue, almost white, to sky blue — gently blend together. Each pearl seems to hold a distant murmur of the ocean and accompanies you during your meditations, helping you to align with your deepest truths.

This bead size is equally suited to a simple look — where a single bracelet elevates your style — as it is to stacking jewellery: paired with a fine gold chain, white jade or blue chalcedony. For a bolder look, dare to wear several 8 mm aquamarine bracelets.

Craftsmanship & expertise

Every Sudamerica Stones bracelet is hand-strung in our Geneva workshop, with the beads selected one by one for their beauty and consistency. The silicone cord is chosen for its flexibility and strength — we guarantee it against breakage for one year. As each aquamarine is unique, the bracelet you receive may differ slightly from the photos: this is the hallmark of a natural and one-of-a-kind piece.

About aquamarine

Its name comes from the Latin *aqua marina* — ‘sea water’. A cousin of the emerald in the beryl family, aquamarine is distinguished by its exceptional clarity and crystalline blue colour. The finest specimens come from Brazil, Pakistan, Nigeria and Madagascar. The stone forms in pegmatites, magmatic rocks with rare conditions that allow the growth of perfect hexagonal prisms. The most famous specimen — discovered in 1910 at the Papamel mine in Brazil — weighed 110 kg.

In crystal healing, aquamarine is associated with inner clarity, emotional balance and the facilitation of self-expression. It is traditionally regarded as a talisman offering protection to travellers and seafarers.
